Sleeping difficulties, sometimes called insomnia, are common and are often caused by a multitude of factors which is why at The Bronte Clinic we take a whole body approach.
It is important to differentiate between a primary insomnia that is often caused by a stressful life event, that continues despite the resolution of that event, and secondary insomnia which is caused by another condition such as thyroid disorders, menopause, mental health problems or other medical problems. Sleep deprivation can really affect general wellbeing including both physical and mental health.
At the Bronte Sleep consultation, we can assess your sleeping difficulties together and carry out any tests that are needed if a secondary cause of insomnia is suspected.
